St Agnes Medical Center

Healing body, mind and spirit … our mission at Saint Agnes Medical Center for nearly nine decades. These values were first inspired by the Sisters of the Holy Cross who, with a staff of 32, opened the original 75-bed Saint Agnes Hospital in 1929. We answered the Valley's need for expanded health services with our move north in 1975, and have since evolved into a 436-bed, state-of-the-art Medical Center campus – bringing together the most advanced equipment and facilities, and the expertise of top-ranked physicians and staff.

To further serve our community and improve access to primary and specialty care, Saint Agnes has grown to offer several new Saint Agnes Care sites and two urgent care clinics, and has established an accredited internal medicine residency program to attract and cultivate new physicians. We're also proud to be the only hospital in Fresno County to achieve international recognition as a Baby-Friendly designated birth facility.

Along with growing our physical presence, Saint Agnes also remains focused on strengthening its partnerships with Dignity Health and Valley Children's Healthcare to form an integrated health care delivery network unlike any other in the region. It's all part of the promise we made almost 89 years ago – to care for our patients and their loved ones with the highest quality, most compassionate health care. From emergency, diagnostic, surgical and maternity services to cardiac, cancer, neuro and orthopedic care, you can trust that Saint Agnes Medical Center will be here for our community for years to come.

For nearly nine decades, Valley residents have trusted Saint Agnes Medical Center for their most complex health care needs. Now, they can count on us for their primary care, too – through our new Saint Agnes Care network.

At Saint Agnes Care, our physicians are passionate about helping you and your loved ones stay healthy and live well. Whether you need primary care or something as complex as neuro or cardiothoracic surgery, you can trust our skilled physicians to deliver the quality you expect with the compassion you deserve.

Our name may look a little different – but you'll recognize our quality, compassionate care the moment you meet our dedicated doctors.

When you or a loved one is in need of immediate medical attention, trust your emergency care to Saint Agnes Emergency Department. Open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, our team of specially trained physicians, nurses and dedicated support staff are prepared to handle a wide range of medical conditions.

How do I know if I need to visit the Emergency Department?

If you are exhibiting any combination of these symptoms, it is recommended that you call 9-1-1 immediately:

What to expect in the Emergency Department

Our goal is to provide you with the highest quality, most compassionate care and service in an efficient and timely manner, from the moment you arrive in our ED. We understand how frustrating it can be to wait, especially when you're in pain or not feeling well. So we appreciate your understanding that we stabilize and treat the most severely ill and injured patients first.

To give you a better idea of what to expect during your ED visit, you are encouraged to review our Emergency Services Information Sheet.

What if I am admitted to the hospital?

If it is determined by one of our ED physicians that you need to be admitted to the hospital, we will make every effort to get you settled into your room as soon as possible. If the specific type of room you need is not available, we will make you as comfortable as possible in the ED until your assigned room becomes available.

To contact the Emergency Department, call (559) 450-3205.

Obstetrical Emergency Department (OBED)

As part of our vision to elevate the level of care and service we provide to expectant moms, Saint Agnes is proud to provide the area's only OB Emergency Department that is staffed 24/7, 365 days a year, with Board Certified OB/GYN hospitalists. If you are greater than 20 weeks and have an urgent or emergent pregnancy-related need, take comfort in knowing that you will be seen by one of our OB/GYN hospitalists or your personal OB/GYN – regardless of time, complication or circumstances.

Community Regional Medical Center

Located in downtown Fresno, Community Regional Medical Center is the flagship hospital of Community Medical Centers. Accredited by The Joint Commission, we're home to Central California's highest level of care. We have a capacity of 685 licensed beds and see an average of 663 inpatients a day.

Our one-of-a-kind Central California Neuroscience Institute brings together clinical experts in brain tumors, stroke, dementia, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease and more. We were the first hospital in the world to offer Generation 4 CyberKnife technology to treat cancer.

As a leader in comprehensive cardiovascular services Community Regional offers more advanced cardiac treatment options than any other hospital in the Valley. We perform about 3,600 cardiovascular procedures a year and partner with the UCSF Fresno Medical Education Program to offer the only cardiology, pulmonary and interventional cardiac fellowship training programs in the region.

We are one of the busiest birthing centers in California with the largest Level 3 neonatal intensive care unit in the Valley. Our combined expertise in both adult and newborn medicine makes our hospital the only one in the area where recovering mothers and their critically ill babies can stay together for the treatments they need.

Our full-service 58,000-square-foot Emergency Department is home to the Table Mountain Rancheria Trauma Center and Leon S. Peters Burn Center – the region's only Level 1 (highest level) trauma and comprehensive burn center. Our affiliation with the University of California San Francisco Medical School – one of the top medical schools in the nation – provides patients access to some of the brightest and most forward-thinking medical specialists in the country.

Recognizing the role family plays in recovery, Community Regional established Terry's House, a 17,000-square-foot home established to provide a supportive residence for families while their loved ones receive critical care in the hospital. This home is conveniently located across from our main building so patients' families are able to stay close and connected to loved ones who are in our care.

The perfect blend of exceptional care and comfortable accommodations, Clovis Community Medical Center remains a top choice for women's services, labor and delivery, minimally invasive surgeries, sports medicine and weight-loss surgery.

Home to the Marjorie E. Radin Breast Care Center, California's premier breast care center, we offer screenings and diagnostics, as well as treatments using the most advanced technology available.

Clovis Community has 208 all-private rooms. Whether for inpatient or outpatient care, we're here to provide the best possible experience for the people we serve. Patients can expect excellent care that starts the moment they arrive.
